Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity:
ASB’s Graduate Programme is a truly unique experience. With a permanent position from day one, the programme is designed to challenge, inspire, support, and develop you as you begin your career.
Whether you’re part of our rotational programme or developing depth within a specialist area, you’ll take part in an 18–24 month journey through the complex and ever‑changing world of banking.
During the programme, you’ll be matched with a Graduate Sponsor who’ll support you throughout your journey, alongside expert guidance from our Future Me team.
You’ll work alongside a wide range of people — from fellow graduates to General Managers, Business Analysts to senior leaders — giving you exposure to diverse skills, perspectives, and experiences. Once you graduate from the Future Me Programme, you’ll have built a strong foundation to step into your ongoing role within ASB.
All we ask is that you bring your whole self and an open mind to the work you do. Join us as we work to accelerate progress for all New Zealanders.
Te mahi ki ASB | Working for ASB
ASB is grounded in our values — care, courage and curiosity. These values guide how we show up for our people, our customers, and our communities, and they’re what make ASB, ASB.
We offer a flexible and supportive work environment, along with an open and inclusive culture where individuality, ideas, and goals are welcomed and valued.
We’re committed to personal and professional growth, and we support our people with benefits beyond salary — including health insurance, five “You Do You” leave days, banking benefits, and more.
Te Kanorau, Te Whakauru me te Whai Whainga | Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging
Our People Promise is “We see you. We back you. We lift you.” People are at the heart of ASB.
We want ASB to be a place where everyone belongs — where people can be their full, authentic selves, feel connected, and thrive.
ASB has a range of network groups you can connect with, including Neurodiversity, Unity (rainbow community), and Fusion, which celebrates the cultures and languages that make up Aotearoa.
Te tautoko i ō tātou hapori | Supporting our community
ASB is committed to supporting our communities. We work alongside not‑for‑profit organisations, schools, and community groups through a combination of investment, volunteering, and in‑kind support.
All ASB employees receive 12 hours of paid volunteer leave each year to support causes they care about. We’re proud partners of Hato Hone St John and Youthline, supporting wellbeing and resilience across New Zealand.
