ASB Graduate Programme - Technology and Transformation

Kia ora, Talofa lava, Kia Orana, Malo e lelei, Fakalofa lahi atu, Bula Vinaka and Namaste!

At ASB, we help New Zealanders get one step ahead every day.

Our Technology Graduate Programme isn’t just about building technical skills — it’s about discovering your potential, learning how technology enables real outcomes, and growing your career in a supportive, people‑first environment.

We believe in seeing you for who you are, backing your aspirations, and lifting you as you grow with us.

We’re recruiting graduates to join ASB’s Technology space, where technology plays a critical role in supporting customers, colleagues, and communities across Aotearoa.

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity:

ASB’s Future Me Technology Graduate Programme offers a permanent role from day one and a 12-24 month development journey designed to build both your technical capability and your understanding of how a large, regulated organisation operates.
Depending on your skills, interests, and the needs of the business, technology graduates are placed across the business in areas such as:
  • Software Development – building and enhancing digital platforms, applications, APIs and services
  • Quality Engineering & Testing – ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and perform as expected
  • Cyber Security – helping protect ASB’s platforms, data, and customers
  • Infrastructure & Cloud – supporting the platforms and environments that keep ASB running
Some graduates rotate through different teams to broaden their experience, while others develop deeper expertise within a specific area. Either way, you’ll work on real‑world challenges that contribute directly to ASB’s technology outcomes.
Throughout the programme, you’ll be supported by:
  • A Graduate Sponsor who’ll guide you along the way
  • Ongoing development and support from our Future Me team
  • A cohort of fellow graduates learning and growing alongside you
You’ll work with people across the Technology and Transformation Practice — from other graduates and engineers to chapter leads and senior leaders — gaining exposure to a wide range of skills, tools, and ways of working.
By the time you complete the programme, you’ll have built a strong technical foundation and the confidence to step into your ongoing role within ASB.

We want ASB to be a place where everyone belongs — where people can be their full, authentic selves, feel connected, and thrive.

ASB has a range of network groups you can connect with, including Neurodiversity, Unity (rainbow community), and Fusion, which celebrates the cultures and languages that make up Aotearoa.

Te tautoko i ō tātou hapori | Supporting our community

ASB is committed to supporting our communities. We work alongside not‑for‑profit organisations, schools, and community groups through a combination of investment, volunteering, and in‑kind support.
