Brunton Engineering & Construction prides itself on providing specialist civil, structural and mechanical solutions in the Australian engineering and construction landscape. 

Our company is currently looking for a junior Project Engineer that has recently graduated with tertiary qualifications in either structural or civil engineering to assist with our structural steel, concrete and rail infrastructure projects.

Roles and responsibilities of the Project Engineer will cover the entire span of the project cycle including:

• Quoting and tendering
• Client and consultant management
• Civil construction design and engineering
• Structural design and engineering
• CAD modelling and drafting with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Tekla Structures and other software packages (preferable not essential)
• Development of designs and drawings for fabrication
• Procurement of materials and equipment
• Programming, supervision and administration of outsourced fabrication and material/equipment suppliers
• Programming, supervision and administration of workshop and site activities

Previous experience in an engineering and construction environment managing sub-contractors with programming, supervision and administration would be beneficial.

Previous experience or the motivation to contribute in the delivery of civil and structural infrastructure projects for road and rail organisations would be extremely advantageous.

The position is based out of Somerton in Melbourne's north but intermittent travel throughout the state would be occasionally be expected. For this reason a manual driver’s license is essential.

The successful candidate would be offered a salary commensurate with experience as well as the opportunity to participate in various engineering and leadership training programs.
