2027 Sydney Graduate Program — Colin Biggers & Paisley

We're inviting final‑year law students to apply for our 2027 Sydney Graduate Program.

Colin Biggers & Paisley is a national law firm with offices in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, and a long history of building careers through strong training, trusted relationships and meaningful work. We’ve been around since 1900, but our focus is firmly on how we work today - collaboratively, thoughtfully and with respect for each other and our clients.

What you’ll do

Our 15‑month Graduate Program, starting in March 2027, gives you the chance to learn by doing.

You’ll rotate through three different practice groups, gaining exposure to a range of matters and ways of working. From early on, you’ll work closely with partners, senior lawyers and clients, contributing to real work and building your confidence as a developing lawyer.

You’ll also have opportunities to get involved in pro bono work from day one through the Colin Biggers & Paisley Foundation. Our Foundation brings together our pro bono, volunteering and community initiatives, with a focus on supporting women and children and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the environment.

Alongside your day‑to‑day work, you’ll take part in a bespoke graduate development program based in Sydney. This includes structured learning sessions, mentoring, regular feedback and opportunities to connect with fellow graduates across our interstate offices.

How we support you

We invest in our people and we show it through action. You’ll be supported by supervising partners, senior lawyers and our People & Culture team throughout the program.

We offer a connected and social workplace, with wellbeing initiatives, learning and development support, mentoring, and opportunities to get involved beyond your day‑to‑day role. Our values - Balance, Respect, Loyalty and Integrity guide how we work with each other and with our clients.

Who you are

You’re a final‑year law student with a genuine interest in our practice areas; Property, Construction, Insurance and Corporate Dispute Resolution.

You’re keen to learn, communicate clearly and work as part of a team. You take initiative, adapt quickly and care about doing good work. Strong academic results matter, but so does your involvement in extracurricular activities, community work or leadership roles.

Inclusion matters to us

We’re building a firm where different perspectives are valued and people feel they belong. We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or ethnicity.
