The team coordinates all the operational activities that enable products to be introduced and sustained successfully. It’s about making sure there is consistency between production and test environments. It’s about ensuring hardware, software and networking changes are migrated into the production environment in a stable and controlled way. 

And it’s about creating build processes, coordinating product builds for release into production and setting up configuration specifications for releases.

What you’ll achieve: 
 
As a Product Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for providing coordination of operational activities associated with the introduction of client peripherals products worldwide. Coordinates all operational activities associated with the introduction of the new product.  
 
Responsible for ensuring stable, controlled migration of hardware, software and networking changes into the production environment. Ensures consistency between production and test environments. Creates/maintains build processes, coordinates product builds for release into production, prioritizes failures and works with development to resolve problems. Sets up configuration specifications for releases. 
 
You will:

• Represents Worldwide Operations, creates factory plan based on product roadmaps. 
• Utilizes metrics to improve new production, introduction process, and product quality, both at launch and throughout the program's life cycle. 
• Ensures Operations achieve Ready to Ship Release and transition into the production/sustaining phase. 
• Drives action plans and strategies to reduce overall manufacturing transformation cost and improve quality by eliminating sources of defects. 
• Enables supply chain node to onboard suppliers, products, and services to ensure business continuity and build and fulfill products from global supply chain node.

Essential Requirements:

• Education: Hold a degree in engineering or a related field from a reputable university. 
• Foundational Knowledge: Possess basic comprehension of engineering disciplines, manufacturing processes, and relevant technical proficiencies. 
• Industry Insight: Familiarity with the global computer products/peripherals industry and an understanding of its engineering intricacies. 
• Collaborative Aptitude: Proficiency in leading cross-functional reviews, effectively addressing challenges, and collaborating with extended teams and suppliers. 
• Continuous Enhancement: Proactively identify and recommend refinements to supplier's factory operations, ensuring alignment with Dell's operational requirements.
