Glenrowan PS services the historic town of Glenrowan as well as the surrounding districts of Hamilton Park Estate and Greta West community. Our township sits between the two larger centres of Wangaratta and Benalla in Nth East Victoria. In 2025 we have a student enrolment of 107 students. Winton Primary School is an Annexe School of Glenrowan, with an enrolment of 4 students. Our school has provided a strong and positive learning environment where the values of Integrity, Responsibility, Respect, Honesty & Trustworthiness, Fair Go, Freedom, Care & Compassion, Understanding Tolerance & Inclusion and Doing Your Best are embedded in order to develop good character and social responsibility across all levels. Our basic belief is that all children are individuals and have the right to experience a comprehensive education in a caring and friendly environment. Programs are challenging and reflect our belief that learning should be fun. In addition to our original school house/administration area we also have a state of the art building comprising a large central project space with four adjoining learning studios. Playgrounds, covered court area, sports oval, an extensive vegie patch and bushland environment complete our grounds. Specialist classes are provided in Library, Kitchen/Garden, Art, Music and Italian. Parents are encouraged to participate in all aspects of school life. We strive to fulfil our motto 'Be a learner / Be responsible / Be respectful' by providing our children with engaging educational opportunities as well as building responsible and caring future citizens.

SC2 Demonstrated capacity to implement high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluate the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.
SC3 Demonstrated capacity to monitor and assess student learning. Demonstrated capacity to use data to inform teaching practice and to provide feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents.
SC4 Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community to support student learning, wellbeing and engagement.
SC5 Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values. Demonstrated capacity to reflect upon practice and engage in professional learning to continually improve the quality of teaching.
