Who could you be at GHD?

Our Urban Design & Landscape Strategy team play a key role in delivering city-shaping projects with huge diversity of scale, in transport, precinct development, tourism, recreation strategy development, as well as restoring and enhancing our natural environment. Through careful consideration of public and private space, human scale and quality design outcomes, we create integrated places and communities that provide benefit beyond their boundaries into the broader urban context.

This team of dedicated professionals are looking for an Urban Design Graduate to join them as part of our 2026 Graduate Program. This role has a flexible start date, with potential to commence immediately, or join our standard February or June/July intakes).

We’re looking for someone who:

• has recently graduated (or is a current student expecting to graduate by the end of 2025 or by mid-2026) with a degree or postgraduate studies majoring in areas such as Landscape Architecture, Architecture or Urban Design.
• strong proficiency in Adobe suites (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc) and AutoCAD (Revit skills are also a bonus).
• has an interest in working in a consulting environment, within the engineering sector
• has great verbal and written communication skills
• is self motivated, with good time management and organisational skills
• has the ability to work independently, as well as be a great team player

Our two-year Graduate Development Program is designed to give you a smooth start to your consulting career. Alongside your peers, managers and mentors, we’ll help you detangle any challenges along the way.

Here’s what to expect, step by step:

• Screening: We review applications as they come in, but be mindful that the bulk of our screening happens after applications close, so don’t worry if you don’t hear from us right away. 
• Video interviews: If you make it through the first stage, you’ll record some answers to a few straightforward questions. This helps us get a sense of your communication style and what excites you about GHD.
• Meet the team: Next, you’ll have a face-to-face or virtual interview with your prospective team. We’ll chat through some behavioural based questions to learn more about your skills and experience. It’s also a chance for you to get to know us!
• Psychometric assessments: These quick tests give us a glimpse into how you like to work and your strengths in relation to the role, complementing what we learn during your interview.
• Offer: Congratulations! If you’re successful, we’ll talk through all the finer details, like salary, your start date, and our background checking process.
