What you'll do

Across the 12-month programme, you'll gain hands-on experience, learn how a world-leading bank operates, and contribute to meaningful work across your chosen business area. You'll take on responsibilities from the start, working on live projects that build your confidence and capability.

You'll have access to on-the-job learning, mentorship, skills workshops, and opportunities to meet peers and leaders across HSBC.

Roles are available across the following business areas:

  1. International Wealth and Premier Banking: Contact Centres
    • Sales: Support sales initiatives, track performance and updates, and contribute to client journey improvements.
    • Customer Support & People Experience: Work on complaints data, knowledge management, and technical skill-building programmes for call centre teams.
    • Transformation: Assist with user acceptance testing preparation, execution, and feedback collation to enhance process journeys.
    • Conversational Banking & Chatbot: Shape chatbot flows, optimise logic, and work with cross-functional teams to improve digital interactions.
  2. Asset Management: Wholesale Distribution Client Service
    • Support client services across Singapore and Southeast Asia
    • Assist with onboarding, know your customer (KYC), distribution agreements, and fund account setup
    • Coordinate with transfer agents on client queries
    • Help plan and support onsite client events and sales activities
  3. Group Chief Operating Office: Real Estate Services
    • Support Business Continuity & Incident Management (BCIM) planning
    • Coordinate with IT and Facilities on critical resources
    • Assist with protective security, building access, and emergency exercises
    • Provide operational support: team meetings, purchase order tracking, corporate services admin
  4. Group Chief Operating Office: Operations
    • Work with teams handling transaction processing, account servicing, and reconciliations
    • Learn key systems and regulatory requirements
    • Support governance checks and contribute to workflow improvements
    • Help enhance efficiency and customer experience through process optimisation

What you'll learn

Throughout the programme, you'll strengthen core professional skills including:

You'll also build role-specific technical skills based on your business area, gaining real-world experience in operations, banking systems, regulatory knowledge, data handling, customer experience, financial products, or digital processes.

By the end of the programme, you'll have a strong foundation to grow your career – with the opportunity to be considered for a full-time role at HSBC.

Requirements:

  • Available to work full time for 12 months from June 2026.
  • Be a Polytechnic graduate from any discipline in your final year or graduated with no more than two years of work experience.
  • Those who have completed National Service are also eligible to apply.
  • Legal right to work in Singapore.
