Internship - Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (Finance)

Job Description

In your new role you will:

  • ML Solution Design & Implementation: Design, implement, and scale machine learning solutions for Finance Cost Forecasting and Controlling, leveraging time-series statistical and ML models to deliver accurate predictions. 
  • Advanced Feature Development: Enhance existing ML solutions by incorporating advanced features such as vertical forecasting, simulations, and causal AI analytics. 
  • Global Deployment & Platform Optimization: Support global deployment of ML solutions while optimizing user interfaces on the HICP cloud platform for seamless user experience. 
  • End-to-End Model Lifecycle Management: Participate in the full lifecycle of AI/ML model development and implementation, depending on project stage and requirements. 
  • Innovation & Experimentation: Explore and experiment with AI/ML and digitalization use cases using finance datasets across multiple platforms to drive innovation and impactful outcomes. 
  • AI & Algorithm Research: Conduct research on AI models and algorithms to identify effective approaches for solving complex business challenges. 
  • Automation & Dashboard Support: Contribute to automation and dashboard development projects as needed. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with IT teams and global stakeholders on standard automation tools and specialized data science topics, fostering knowledge sharing and alignment. 
  • Community Engagement: Engage in digitalization and innovation initiatives, as well as departmental activities, to stay informed on industry trends and promote a collaborative culture.

Internship Learning Outcomes:

  • Practical AI/ML & Digitalization Experience: Gain valuable exposure and hands-on experience in digitalization, AI/ML solutions, business analytics, and automation initiatives/projects within the Finance department, allowing for the application of academic knowledge to real-life situations. 
  • Semiconductor Industry Knowledge: Gain insight into various semiconductor controlling processes and understand their importance. 
  • Gain exposure in collaboration: Collaborate and communicate with Finance Domain Experts, Technical Experts, and like-minded team members who are enthusiastic about digital transformation, providing valuable exposure to diverse perspectives. 
  • Presentation & Communication: Enhance presentation skills through the opportunity to present project works to various stakeholders, gaining valuable experience.



Your profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree with sound knowledge on Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Business Analytic, Mathematic and statistics.
  • Personal Attributes: Meticulous & Inquisitive in nature.
  • Professional Ethics: High level of professional integrity and maturity, self-motivated personnel and a team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Core Competencies: Proficient in communication, AI algorithm and Analytic Model research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability: Resourceful in finding solution or knowledge on new tools.
  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge on data science, business analytics techniques, tool and context, data analysis and AI/ML model and algorithm, python coding.
  • Preferred Internship Period: Jan 27 - Jun 27
