Internship - Industrial Engineering

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • To work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend data-driven solutions
  • Responsibilities will include conducting time studies, mapping production processes, assisting in layout planning, and contributing to the deployment of automation systems
  • Be involved in monitoring and improving material efficiency, ensuring the right quantity of materials is available at the right place and time, while minimizing waste
  • Support ongoing factory automation projects, gaining exposure to technologies such as automated conveyors, smart sensors, and robotics
  • Analyze the impact of these systems on throughput, labor productivity, and resource utilization


Internship Learning Outcomes

  • Deliver measurable improvements in selected production areas through workflow optimization and personal efficiency initiatives
  • Improve flow factor metrics through process rebalancing, layout improvements, and bottleneck mitigation
  • Contribute to a reduction in material waste and enhance material utilization rates by streamlining inventory and material handling practices
  • Assist in the successful implementation or testing of at least one factory automation solution, with documented impact on cycle time or labor efficiency
  • Present findings and recommendations in a final report, supported by data analysis, before the internship concludes



Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • On track to attain Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering/Electrical & Electronic / Manufacturing / Mechanical / Computer Engineering
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office Basic knowledge of any programming language
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • This internship is ideal for candidates who are analytical, systems-oriented, and passionate about lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
