What does the Finance Team do in ING?

  • Finance & Control activities ensuring to meet its external & internal financial reporting requirements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Regulatory requirements; and
  • Finance Advice activities providing management information and financial advice to senior management as well as coordinate financial planning & forecasting processes. 

What would you be doing?

The Finance Intern is responsible for processing expense/account payable and supporting daily/monthly closing and local tax returns.

The intern should also undertake back-up of other Finance staff members on regulatory reporting and closing.  
 
As an Intern, your tasks and responsibilities will principally be:

  • Processing of Staff claims or Account Payables via internal processing;
  • Daily closing, monthly closing supports;
  • Manual voucher entry into main Finance system;
  • Daily non-dealing procedures and wash account checking;
  • Daily error checking on the system and follow up on differences;
  • Support Accountants for the regulatory returns;
  • Support Accountants for HO returns;
  • VAT, Withholding income tax and other transactional tax filing and reporting;
  • Full compliance with all internal or regulatory rules or regulations. 

What would you gain from this internship?

  • Understanding general reporting structure for financial institutions;
  • Understating on Derivatives product and Bank’s money market product;
  • Upskill of engagement level with people.  

Required Skills and Abilities

  • You should have legal work rights in the country of internship;
  • University student (preferred majored in Accounting and Business management);
  • Advanced MS Office skills;
  • Fluent in English and Korean, both verbally and written;
  • Ability to communicate well and work with people in different department at all levels;
  • Willingness to learn and participate in activities; and
  • Open minded and eagerness to challenge.
