The opportunity

Charter Hall’s 2026 Internship Program offers a structured, hands‑on experience designed to build capability, confidence and long‑term career pathways in commercial property and funds management.

As a Capital Transactions Intern, you will work closely with the Capital Transactions team, gaining hands‑on exposure to acquisitions, divestments, valuations and financial analysis. Through rotational exposure across Funds Management, Asset Management and Finance, you will develop a strong understanding of how investment decisions are made at both deal and portfolio level.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support acquisitions and divestments across the end‑to‑end transaction lifecycle, from initial analysis through to execution.
  • Assist with financial analysis, modelling and valuation inputs to support investment decision‑making.
  • Contribute to internal approval papers, investment submissions and materials prepared for senior stakeholders and committees.
  • Coordinate due diligence activities, supporting information flows and engagement with external advisers.
  • Work closely with internal teams across Funds Management, Asset Management and Finance to understand how transactions align to portfolio strategy.
  • Build commercial insight by gaining exposure to how investment decisions are assessed, challenged and progressed within an institutional funds environment.

 

About You

You are interested in how complex office assets and projects are delivered and managed and motivated to learn through exposure to real work and stakeholders. You approach tasks with structure and care, apply sound judgement and take responsibility for delivering accurate outcomes. You collaborate well with others, adapt as priorities shift and are keen to build confidence working across projects that contribute to long‑term asset performance.

You will also be:

  • Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian Permanent Resident
  • Final‑year student, available to commence part‑time in July 2026
  • Studying Property, Commerce, Finance, Business related discipline
