The opportunity

Charter Hall’s 2026 Internship Program offers a structured, hands‑on experience designed to build capability, confidence and long‑term career pathways in commercial property and funds management.

As an Office Intern, you will be based in the NSW Capital Works team, supporting the delivery of office assets and projects while rotating across Asset Management, Development, ESG and Finance. This experience will give you end‑to‑end insight into how office assets are planned, delivered and managed in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environment.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support the delivery of office assets and capital works projects, working closely with internal teams and delivery partners.
  • Assist with project, risk and financial reporting, including Capex tracking, forecasting and expenditure monitoring.
  • Coordinate documentation, approvals and contractor activities, supporting safety, WHS reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in internal and external stakeholder meetings, including project team discussions and tenant engagement.
  • Contribute to ESG reporting, systems maintenance and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Build broader commercial understanding through exposure to Asset Management, Development, ESG and Finance teams

 

About You

You are interested in how large‑scale assets operate day to day and motivated to learn through hands‑on involvement. You take care in your work, apply sound judgement and understand the importance of accuracy, follow‑through and knowing when to seek guidance. You work well as part of a team, manage competing priorities and are keen to build confidence by supporting operational decisions that impact customers and asset performance.

You will also be:

  • Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian Permanent Resident
  • Final‑year student, available to commence part‑time in July 2026
  • Studying Property, Commerce, Finance, Business related discipline
