Do Work That Matters

Leidos Australia delivers IT and airborne solutions that protect and advance the Australian way of life.  Join a team that contributes directly to Australia’s national security by supporting the systems and services that underpin GEO SPACES and broader National Intelligence Community (NIC) operations. The environments you will help maintain enable analysts, operators, and decision‑makers to access trusted, mission‑critical geospatial and intelligence capabilities.

You will be part of the team that acts as the first line of support, helping resolve issues quickly, keeping users productive, and ensuring stable and secure ICT operations across multiple environments. Every phone call you answer, ticket you resolve, or issue you escalate contributes to the continuity of systems that matter at a national level.

Your New Role and Responsibilities

As a Graduate ICT Engineer, you will support the systems, users, and services that keep secure national programs operating effectively every day. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining the reliability and availability of critical ICT environments that enable analysts, operators, and technical teams across government, defence, and intelligence missions.

Your work will span a variety of security engineering and assurance activities. A typical week could include:

  • Providing first-level technical support to end users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, account, and access issues.
  • Logging, triaging, and managing service desk tickets and incidents in line with SLAs.
  • Assisting with user onboarding, account provisioning, password resets, and identity/access management tasks.
  • Helping maintain endpoint devices, including imaging, setup, patching, and configuration updates.
  • Supporting system health and monitoring activities, escalating issues to engineering or technical services teams when required.
  • Documenting procedures, troubleshooting steps, and known issues to improve help desk knowledge resources.
  • Working closely with systems administrators, network teams, and engineers to support broader ICT operations.
  • Learning and applying help desk best practices, customer service principles, and secure environment procedures.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives across ICT support functions.

Graduates will be supported to develop their skills and knowledge specific to this role, to ensure they are able to contribute and reach their highest potential. As a Leidos graduate, you will be working on interesting and challenging projects and will take part in a range of training and development opportunities.
