About the Role
As an AI Intern, you’ll work across SG Fleet’s technical and commercial teams to develop GenAI prototypes, automate business processes, and support data-driven decision-making. You’ll also have the unique opportunity to collaborate closely with SG Fleet’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) on strategic initiatives that shape the future of AI within the business.

This internship offers exposure to prompt engineering, large language model optimisation, and the research of emerging GenAI technologies. You’ll also support commercial teams with data analysis, automation, and business research.
  
Key Responsibilities Tech Focus
• Develop GenAI prototypes and proof-of-concepts
• Identify automation opportunities with business teams
• Analyse and optimise business processes
• Support prompt engineering and model tuning
• Research emerging GenAI technologies and recommend business applications

Commercial Focus
• Conduct data analysis and automation reviews
• Support business research and reporting
• Translate AI insights into commercial recommendations
• Collaborate closely with SG Fleet’s COO on strategic initiatives

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the 2026 SG Fleet Internship Program, you must:

• Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen with full working rights
• Be in your final year of undergraduate study in 2026
• Be available to participate in the internship program based at SG Fleet’s Sydney Head Office in Pymble, NSW

What’s Next
This internship is open to final-year university students. You’ll be based at SG Fleet’s Head Office in Pymble, Sydney, with easy access via train and our complimentary shuttle bus.

🤝 October – Let’s Meet You Join us for our Assessment Centre which will be sheduled for the week commnecing 20th October 2025. You’ll take part in a panel interview, written task, and group activity. It’s your chance to shine!
