The ACS Foundation is an ACNC registered charitable organisation with a charter to Advance Information Technology Through Education and Research. The Foundation was established by the Australian Computer Society in 2001.

The ACS Foundation runs student developmental programs that are in response to the technology industry needs. By listening to governments, industry associations, technology companies, education institutions and sponsors in general, we formulate, invest and run programs for the long term benefit of Australia's technology sector.

The ACS Foundation has:

  • Raised over $80 million in contributions towards Australia’s technology future.
  • Awarded over 8,500 scholarships to help students start their careers.
  • Partnered with over 250 sponsors and companies to build industry capability.

Application Process

  1. Apply for a role

    You can either select a specific internship or graduate role, or make an application based on an expression of interest (e.g. I would really love a 6 month internship in cyber security).

  2. Phone Call

    We will review your application for completeness.  If you meet the criteria, we will call you to discuss the role and gather more information about your career objectives.

  3. Interview

    Selected candidates will be shortlisted for interviews:  If successful, we will contact you for a 1:1 interview with the host organisation.

  4. After the interview

    We will contact you to inform you of the result of the interview. If you receive the offer, congratulations! If not, we will see if there are other upcoming roles that may suit your circumstances and goals.
