The trading floor is a truly exciting place to be. One unexpected headline can change the course of the markets in an instant. The fast-paced environment means that you need to keep abreast of the news that is unfolding across the globe and to trades made by colleagues around you. I have spent time with Mizuho’s seasoned traders and salespeople to get an understanding on their individual work and how each individual’s work contributes to team Mizuho as a whole. I have also been given the immense opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues surrounding me and have started doing trades under their guidance. This exposure will prove invaluable as I slowly develop into a fully-fledged salesperson at Mizuho. I look forward to increasing my technical knowledge as well as my interpersonal skills during my journey as a fixed income sales graduate analyst while nurturing meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients along the way.
