Our office is a trusted, independent and impartial public body. Our auditors communicate and work with SA Government agencies and local government entities. We provide audit opinions, through our reporting to SA Parliament, on the finances and activities of the South Australian public sector.

Our role is to help ensure SA government accountability to the important work our public service agencies perform, whilst promoting confidence and assurance int he public sector, by all South Australians.

Application Process

    • Complete your application.
    • Include your resume and covering letter.
    • Attach the required University transcript/s or professional documentation.
  2. Email

    Reply to the interview invitation by providing the following documentation:

    • Completed Pre-employment Declaration.
    • Evidence of your Australian citizenship/residency (e.g. Australian birth certificate, Australian passport, Australian Citizenship certificate or Visa document).
    • Contact details of two referees.
    • Full academic transcript (if you haven’t provided it with your application).
  3. Meet
    • You are invited to meet with our interview panel. 
    • You will discuss your knowledge, skills and experience in relation to the role.
    • Bring your photographic identification (e.g. Driver’s licence, Passport or Proof of age card).
  4. Check
    • We will contact your referees and conduct the final stages of employment.
  5. Accept
    • Receive your offer of employment.
    • Read and sign the contract of employment.
    • Complete the other required employment documents.
    • Return the completed contract of employment and documents.
  6. Induction
    • Receive information about your first day.
    • Report to the Security team, at the agreed date and time, to gain entry.
    • Attend your induction and meet the Auditor-General, various colleagues and your facilitator.
    • Welcome to the team.
