Sam Waldin

Supply Chain Graduate (current)
Bachelor of Science Majoring in Psychology, Minor in Communications from Charleston Southern University in USA

I’m Sam, and I joined Suntory Oceania last year as a Supply Chain Graduate. Coming from a Psychology background, supply chain was completely new territory for me—but I was curious, ready to learn, and looking for a place that would give me a meaningful start to my career. Suntory has absolutely been that place.

Over the past 15 months, my role has been dynamic, challenging, and genuinely rewarding. I’m not observing from the sidelines—I’m trusted with work that stretches me and makes a real difference. That trust, paired with the Yatte Minahare spirit, has helped me grow faster than I ever expected. And the people here make all the difference: experienced, supportive, and always willing to teach through hands‑on learning.

I’ve been able to work across the full supply chain, with each rotation offering the chance to contribute to something real. In Logistics, I helped prepare our network for the launch of alcohol distribution earlier this year—supporting more than 2,000 new customers, navigating tight timelines, and working through new visibility and security requirements. It was fast-paced, complex, and incredibly energising for someone who enjoys solving problems head-on.

I’ve also had the chance to get involved in operational improvement projects across manufacturing, from reducing waste to designing filter cleaning stations and optimising factory cleaning cycles. These experiences showed me just how much impact a graduate can make when trusted, supported, and encouraged to have a go—Growing for Good in action.

If you’re curious, driven, and excited about learning quickly, Suntory Oceania is a place where you’ll grow fast, build confidence, and make a meaningful contribution from day one.

Mollie Gibson

Product Development Technologist
Bachelor of Science majoring in Consumer Food Science and Marketing at the University of Otago

Hi, I’m Mollie! I joined Suntory Oceania in 2023 as an R&D Graduate after completing my Bachelor of Science majoring in Consumer Food Science and Marketing at the University of Otago.

During my 18‑month R&D Graduate Program in Auckland, I was encouraged to embrace the Yatte Minahare spirit—taking on challenges, experimenting, and learning by doing. After the program, I relocated to Sydney to step into a Product Development Technologist role. In this position, I’ve had the chance to work across both our alcohol and non‑alcohol portfolios, gaining a deep understanding of how ideas become products on shelves. Seeing a concept go from early sketches to a fully launched product has been incredibly rewarding.

What I appreciate most about Suntory is the blend of world‑class innovation, global reach, and genuinely inspiring people. Every day offers the chance to grow, collaborate, and contribute to something meaningful—truly embodying our Growing for Good philosophy.

If you’re passionate about creating products people love and want to build your career in a supportive, forward‑thinking environment, Suntory Oceania is an amazing place to start.

Kate Manunui

Operational Excellence Specialist
Bachelor of Food Technology with Honours, majoring in Food Process Engineering from Massey University

Hi there, I’m Kate! I joined Suntory in 2022 as a Supply Chain & Quality Graduate based at the Wiri site.

During the program, I was trusted with real responsibility from day one—something that truly reflects our Yatte Minahare (go for it!) spirit. I had the chance to lead a high‑priority canning line for around six months and later stepped into the role of stock controller for raw materials and packaging. These experiences pushed me to grow quickly and gave me a real sense of purpose in the work I was doing.

What stood out most was the support I received across the entire business. Whether it was operators on the line or senior leaders, everyone genuinely wanted to help me learn and succeed. That’s what Growing for Good looks like in action—we lift each other up so we can create better outcomes together.

If you’re looking to kick‑start your career in a market‑leading FMCG company that empowers you, challenges you, and supports you every step of the way, I’d absolutely recommend the Suntory Graduate Program. You’ll gain hands‑on experience, work on meaningful projects, and develop a deep understanding of how the supply chain operates—all while being part of a team that truly lives its values.
